Reba Cardillo, ERPA, QPA, QKA,
Founder and President
Reba Cardillo founded Southern Pension Services in 1997 with the goal of creating an independent, customized and client-focused third-party plan administration firm. As President/CEO, Ms. Cardillo is responsible for overseeing the company’s direction and continued development. She works closely with clients, advisors, accountants, attorneys and insurance agents on retirement plan design, plan implementation and consulting to ensure the retirement plan is the best fit for the employer and employees.
Reba began her career in the retirement plan industry in 1992 as a qualified pension plan administrator at Dun & Bradstreet Pension Services, Inc. She was responsible for administering plans in accordance with ERISA regulations and compliance testing guidelines, and plan design implementation and ongoing plan evaluations. Reba was selected to manage an administration team that serviced a 401(k) Plan product sold nation-wide where she employed her administration expertise and work-flow management knowledge. Throughout her career, she has designed, implemented and administered over 3,000 employer-sponsored qualified retirement plans that included a wide range of private and non-profit industries.
Reba is a graduate of the University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida where she earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She has been designated as an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA), qualifying her to practice before the Internal Revenue Service on certain retirement plan issues as outlined under the U.S. Treasury Department Circular 230. She also holds the professional designations of Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) from the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries.
Reba is a member and Past President of the Florida West Coast Employee Benefits Council (FWCEBC); a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA), National Institute of Pension Administrators (NIPA), Tampa Bay Pension Council and Women in Pensions Network. She frequently volunteers her time and resources to national and local organizations in support of the private retirement system.
Plan Consultants
Our Plan Consultants are career administrators with over 100 years of combined retirement plan administration experience, and are responsible for the timely and accurate on-going plan administration and annual reporting for our clients.
Our Senior Administrators have been designated as Enrolled Retirement Plan Agents (ERPA), qualifying them to practice before the Internal Revenue Service on certain retirement plan issues as outlined under the U.S. Treasury Department Circular 230. Our consultants hold industry designations such as Qualified Pension Administrator and Qualified 401(k) Administrator, and remain updated on the latest retirement plan legislation and laws by attending seminars and workshops, and completing continuing education courses. Southern Pension Services is committed to training and education for our consultants; they receive over 40 hours a year in continuing education.
